FINALLY, CHRONOGRAPH IS BACK.
After almost one year of order stop for updates, Chronograph is finally back to life.
Chronograph has always been very special model for me from I was teeneger. That is why I did not want to rush.
I took time, learned new techniques, collected new tools, and kept improving every detail.
Now, finally, I can release it again.
— DIAL UPDATE —
Dial has 7 updated details.
What exactly did I change?
That is secret.
But I can say one thing.
It is significantly better than original version.
Small details can completely change feeling of dial, and I spent long time finding right balance.
— CASE UPDATE —
Case shaping is another big update.
After getting new tools and developing new techniques, I can now create shapes and finishing that were not possible for me before.
What exactly changed?
Also secret.
But when you see case from different angles, you will understand.
— NEW AGING TECHNIQUES —
This piece includes many new aging techniques.
Since coming back from Amsterdam to Kyoto, I have learned new methods and collected many new tools.
Living in Kyoto also changed my imagination.
Traditional crafts, old shrines and temples, aged metals, wooden buildings, lacquer, stone, and objects that have survived for generations.
Seeing these things every day gives me new ideas and motivation.
I think all of those experiences are slowly becoming part of my watches.
— VERSION 1.5 —
Still, this Chronograph is Version 1.5.
Why?
Because it still has old classic logo.
New logo mold is not finished yet, but all other updates are already complete.
Honestly, I could not wait.
I really wanted to see final result, so I decided to finish this piece.
And I am very happy I did.
— AGING STORY —
For this piece, I imagined around 30 years of daily use.
Owner wore it almost every day and polished case every 5 years.
Because of this, sharp edges are gone. Case feels soft, rounded, and naturally worn.
Maybe original bracelet became too worn over time, so owner replaced it once.
That was story in my mind while making this piece.
Aging is middle to heavy.
Dial has beautiful warm patina, while hands are strongly oxidized.
I really love balance between dial, hands, case, and bracelet.
Everything feels connected.
This is actually first time I release Chronograph “SHIRO” as ready stock.
One unique piece, finished by hand, with its own aging story.
Do not miss this one if it speaks to you.
